Introduction :Sigma Laminar Flow Cabinets Provide the exacting conditions of air cleanliness now required for many processes in such fields as electronic manufacture, medical research, pharmaceutical processing particularly for inject able and vaccines, hospitals and food packaging. They allow work to be performed in an atmosphere free from dust particles and bacteria. SIGMA Laminar Flow Cabinets exceed the highest requirements of Standard Class 100 -where the level of contamination must not exceed 100 Particles of 0.5 microns, or larger, per cubic foot of air within the working area.

•Zero Bacteria count is assured in the working area, within a few minutes of switching on the Laminar Flow
• Low noise level operation and guaranteed leak-free filters.
• Fully tested prior to despatch and issued with test certificate zero bacteria
count in working area. * Easy maintenance (Low cost SIGMA Service contract available)
• Good operator access-sting or standing. Specifications

Air Flow:
90 ft. per minute, (0,45m/sec) -+15ft. /min. (0.8m/sec) over filter face Minimal variation means less turbulence & less contamination

Pre-filter: SIGMA dry fabric air filter Efficiency 98% down to 5 microns Testing standard: BSEN -779

Final Filter: SIGMA Absolute Air filter of Efficiency 99.97% down to 0.3 microns Contamination Level: U.S. Federal Standard 209 E Class 100 less than 100 particles per cu. ft. of 0.5 microns or larger. Nil particles larger than 5 microns, zero Bacterial count in work area

Noise Level:
Typical: Within range of 65 db. Fans Fully balanced, direct driven motor. Adequate capacity to cope with double initial filter pressure drop for maximum filter life.
Light Intensity / 900-1300 Lux at work surface.

Single – phase 220/250 Volt. 50 Hz prewired to junction box. Starting switch for motor Lighting switch.

Applications : Designed specifically for High Efficiency requirements in the nuclear, Pharmaceutical, biological, petrochemical, fertilizer and synthetic fibre industries, computer installation and hospitals.

Constructions: The filter elements is constructed from special pressed non woven synthetic filter fabric stitched on a G. I Wire meon support / Rods and crimped to form deep folds. This exclusive design ensures a large filtration area in ratio to the face area of the filter unit. Result -low differential pressure, high dust rentention capacity and high flow rate. The filter units are made in standard sizes and are interchangeable. The filter casing is
provided with a flanged section for easy fitment on to the filter frame. A felt / neoprene sponge rubber sealing is fixed on to the filter flange. The filter folds are separated by Aluminium spacers to ensure uniform distribution of air flow through the filter media – longer service life. The filter element is sealed in to a mild steel casing duly spray painted and stove enameled to counter rust formation. Aluminium filter casings are also available.

Operating Conditions : The Filter unit can be used under conditions of humidity up to and including 100% RH. Exclusive design ensures large filtration area, maximum filtration efficiency and nominal pressure drop vis-a-vis airflow rate. It is recommended that the filter element is replaced every 12-18 months. Dry Fabric Panel Filters are essential in all industrial installations where a high degree of filtration efficiency and nominal pressure drop commensurate with rated flow is required.

Installation : Filter units may be mounted in multiple banks to cater to large volumes of air flow. The units can be mounted on angle iron frames. Specially designed outlet ducts can be supplied for attaching to the frame work of the filter units for fitment with the existing duct. The filter units are made in standard sizes and are interchangeable.

Application : Designed specifically for High Efficiency requirements in air condition and ventilation, Pharmaceutical, fertilizer and synthetic fibre industries, biological, compressors, electronic industries, research labs, nuclear, petrochemical, film processing industries, Paint finishing plants, and hospitals. And use as pre filter to HEPA filters.
